The Health Secretarythrough the National Center for the Childhood and Adolescent Health (Censia), seeks to apply 9 million vaccines to the population with an incomplete schedule in order to avoid diseases such as measles.

According to the dependency, the vaccination campaign 2024 will emphasize poliomyelitis (hexavalent), measles, rubella and mumps (SRP); measles and rubella in adolescents (SR), as well as those that prevent other infectious diseases.

“It is worth clarifying that only the population with an incomplete schedule will be vaccinated, because immunization is not indiscriminate, so parents must consult the staff of the health centers and clinics to review the National Card of health and indicate if your daughter or son should receive any vaccine,” said the Health Secretary.

The federal agency recalled the recent detection of an imported case of measles in a Romanian child of four years and eight months who arrived at the International Airport of the Mexico City (AICM), on a flight from London.

The campaign will be carried out from April 1 to May 31 in the 32 states, with the objective of advancing towards the annual goal of 90%, avoiding the endemic transmission of polio, measles and rubella.
