Stardew Valley: version 1.6 of the game is now available for download – Technology and Games

In development since 2023, the update for version 1.6 of Stardew Valley was released this Tuesday (19) for game players. As promised by the game’s creator, Eric Barone, during the celebration of the RPG’s eight years of release, the update was only released for PC at first.

After reaching the mark of 30 million copies downloaded in February, the game now has three new festivals with the update. In addition, players will also be able to enjoy new harvesting items and dialogues between NPCs.

One of the main new features was the expansion of corporate mode. Previously restricted to four players, it can now be enjoyed by up to eight people at the same time.

The update also released a new type of farm and reward for those who complete the missions. In terms of visuals, players gained new cold weather outfits and decoration options during winter. At the station, the scene will go dark one hour in advance.

Finally, the gameplay has also been improved. Now, the game map will show where the player is in real time. Previously, it only pinpointed the location at a fixed point with each change of position.

Currently, Stardew Valley is also available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and mobile (Android and iOS). For these platforms, there is still no update forecast for the new version of the game.
