Last week, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett instructed to step up green law enforcement while emphasizing immediate reporting | The responsibility was placed on the Ministry of Homeland Security

Following the directive of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, the Israel Police will be preparing from tomorrow (Sunday) to significantly tighten the enforcement of the green label. The increase in enforcement will be reflected both in increasing surprise visits to businesses that require the green label and in refining the directive for police officers, who will ensure that entry to the business or cultural event is done using a current barcode only and not using printed certificates.

On Thursday last week, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett held a situation assessment regarding the corona virus and the omicron strain, where it was decided to focus on reporting immediately, without warning, in violation of the rules.

Remember, these are the rules of the green sign – places where the sign is activated: cultural and sports events, conferences and exhibitions, hotels, gyms and studios and country clubs, prayer houses for over 50 people, halls and event gardens, and festivals.

Other places where the green mark is required: the seating area in a closed space of restaurants, bars, dining rooms and cafes, museums and libraries, park attractions located in the building, and universities and institutions of higher learning.

As is well known, green mark certificates are required for everyone: vaccinated, recovering and also tested with a negative result. As part of the green mark policy by age groups: ages 0-3 and children up to the age of 12 who present a disability certificate, are exempt from presenting a green mark. Ages 3-12 State-funded tests; Ages 12 and up: The tests are privately funded.

Who is eligible for the green label? Those who received two vaccines, ie the second vaccine is less than half a year old. Or three vaccines, and a week has passed since the last vaccine – valid for Pfizer warehouses. Or two weeks from the last vaccine – for modern vaccines – are entitled to a green label that will be valid for up to six months from the date of the last vaccine.

Those who received only one vaccine are not eligible for a green mark, even if they received a positive result on a serological test after the vaccine.

Who is defined as recovering? Those who are within half a year from the date of recovery and also after half a year Those who have also received at least one vaccine before or after recovery. Children up to the age of 12 and 3 months are defined as recovering even if six months have passed.

Not vaccinated and want to issue a green card? This is possible by performing a quick test.

Those who received a negative result in the PCR test as part of the ‘Education Shield’ – are entitled to a weekly green mark, which will be valid until the end of the seventh day after the test, including the day of the test itself.

Adults and children who received a negative result on a quick test – can present it to enter places that follow the green mark guidelines within the 24 hours after the test. You can display the QR code of the test itself at the entrance or turn it into a daily green mark by scanning the code in the traffic light app. At the entrance to higher education institutions, staff and students are allowed to take one quick test every 84 hours.
