‘State Government Declares Unthia Pal is Ineligible’; Central government with explanation

New Delhi: The center has explained the incident of the beet forest officer denying a job to a tribal youth. The Center stated that the state government has informed that tooth extraction is disqualification. This was informed in Parliament by the Union Ministry of Tribal and Tribal Affairs.

The explanation of the ministry was given while replying to the question of Suresh MP in Kodikunum. The state explained that PSC is an independent constitutional body. It was clarified that it could not be interfered with. The state government has also informed the Center that it has requested the PSC to grant a one-time concession.

The PSC denied the job to Velli’s son Muthu of Anavai Ur of Puthur Panchayat in Attapadi, pointing out that the tooth was pulled. Despite passing the written test and the physical fitness test for the post of Beet Forest Officer, he was dismissed because of his teeth. Muthu’s tooth was damaged in a fall when he was young. Muthu said that he did not get his teeth treated and straightened due to lack of money.
