State Level Football Tournament Chennai Government School Student Champion | Dynamics

Chennai: Chennai State School students won the state level football championship at the Rajaratnam Stadium, Egmore on behalf of the HCL Foundation. Seven teams from Tiruvallur, Coimbatore, Madurai and Thiruvannamalai participated. The matches were first played on a ‘league’ basis and from the semi-finals onwards on a ‘knockout’ basis. Chengalpattu beat Coimbatore 5-0 to advance to the final. The government school team has also qualified for the upcoming national tournament in Nagpur.
