Aslam Kochu Kalunkriyad: Outline of a state-of-the-art Marine Life Institute on the Red Sea coast has been released in connection with ‘Vision 2030’. The Red Sea Development Company has designed the proposed institute, which will facilitate educational excursions and provide opportunities for adventurous naval performances and exhibitions. The complex will provide a multi-faceted experience to visitors, opening up opportunities for research related to coastal protection.
The institute will provide opportunities for marine science researchers and facilities for scientists to develop environmental projects. Visitors and inquisitors will have an opportunity to experience the Red Sea shore realities and diving for adventure seekers.
It can accommodate up to 650 people at any one time, where you can walk underwater and see rare creatures. It is possible to take part in lab tours and travel the depths of the Red Sea on a submarine. John Pagano, the company’s chief executive officer, expressed hope that with the project becoming a reality, Saudi Arabia will be placed on the map of the world’s people who want trips that will make life more exciting.
Facilities will be provided to enjoy the beauty of the abundant coral reefs. The largest man-made reef in the world, 40 meters long and 10 meters deep, will be set up for this purpose. The 10,340 square meter three-storey institute is near the ‘Amala’ Triple Bay, which means ‘Hope’, on the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia. Its lower two floors will be under the sea.
