Flavia Rocha, director of communication at the International Film Academy (AIC), highlights the relevance of changes in the market. “Streaming platforms have revolutionized the traditional model of the film industry, concentrating production and distribution and breaking down geographic barriers. The use of artificial intelligence is also affecting the foundations of the industry, which could result in creative and technical positions being eliminated,” she explains.
These transformations have consequences not only for financial results, but also for the working conditions of actors, screenwriters, cinematographers and technical teams. The wage gap between elite professionals and the vast majority that support film production is one of the most critical points, with many actors and screenwriters facing financial difficulties.
