The United States has imposed new sanctions on 6 Chinese companies that have worked to support the modernization of the Chinese military.
The issue of China’s spy balloon flying over US airspace was hotly debated last week. However, China claimed that it was a research balloon and mistakenly entered US airspace.

The United States has accused China of engaging in such a spy balloon program that has violated the airspace of more than 40 countries across 5 continents. China responded by saying that this action of the United States has harmed its relations with China.
In this case, in the news published by The New York Times, many Chinese companies are working to support the modernization of the Chinese military. In view of this, US President Biden’s government has imposed new sanctions on 6 such Chinese companies.
The move comes as part of a response to a Chinese spy balloon flying over US airspace.
According to this, the US Department of Commerce has added 6 Chinese companies including 5 Chinese companies and one research center to this list. This would prevent the sale of US goods and technology to Chinese companies without a special license.
Officials said that these 6 Chinese companies are working in support of China’s military projects related to spy spacecraft and spy balloons.
