Susie Wolff, director of the F1 Academy reserved for female drivers and wife of the head of the Mercedes Formula 1 team, announced on Wednesday (20) that she filed a complaint against the International Automobile Federation (FIA) for the investigation that was opened against her in the end of last year.

Susie and Toto Wolff were the subject of investigations opened by the FIA to determine whether they were at the center of a potential conflict of interest. Two days after announcing this procedure, the FIA indicated in early December that it would close the case.

The company Formula One, which manages the Formula 1 world championship, and Mercedes, which categorically rejected the accusations made against the Wolff couple, were dissatisfied with the way the FIA handled the matter.

In a message then published on social media, Susie Wolff stated that the accusations against her involved “intimidation and misogyny”.

Susie Wolff confirmed on Wednesday that she filed her complaint with the French court (the FIA’s headquarters are in Paris) on March 4 “in relation to statements made by the FIA last December”.
