The swimming tournament between state institutions has ended.
According to İdman.biz, in the competition organized at the Aquatic Sports Palace, 72 participants from 21 institutions competed for the title of winner.
In the men’s freestyle swimming competition at a distance of 50 m, Emil Ibragimov (Ministry of Internal Affairs) turned out to be the strongest. Among the women, Nargiz Nasirova (Ministry of Internal Affairs) came to the finish line the fastest.
In the women’s 50 m relay, the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs took first place, and SOCAR took second. Among men, the first 2 places were taken by representatives of the same institutions, and the third – by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The winner of the mixed relay was the Ministry of Internal Affairs. SOCAR won a silver medal, and the Caspian Shipping Company won a bronze medal.
The winners were awarded diplomas and medals from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The awards were presented by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov, Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry Elnur Mammadov, President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation Khanlar Fatiyev and Chairman of the Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Movlud Miraliyev.
It should be noted that in the future it is planned to hold about 30 tournaments between government institutions. The main goal of the swimming tournament is to promote and attract to a healthy lifestyle among people leading a sedentary lifestyle.
