Swimming: successful return to competition for Léon Marchand in Shanghai

The French star of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games returned to competition this Friday, in China. Winning return for Léon Marchand who won the 100 meters medley of the short course World Cup stage in Shanghai in 50′ ’65 (new French record). In the morning he had already achieved the best time in the heats. Marchand will then travel to Incheon (South Korea, 24-26 October) and Singapore (31 October-3 November). Then, his season will continue in Budapest, for the World Championships in the 25 meter pool from 10 to 15 December, before certainly a stop at Reunion (Indian Ocean meeting, 20-22 December). This period is described as a “transition” for the Toulouse swimmer, who now benefits from professional status after two seasons spent in the American university championship.
