Sylvester Stallone was furious about filming a movie about Ivan Drago

Famous Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone was angered by MGM plans to make a spin-off about Ivan Drago as part of the Rocky franchise. For the first film in 1976, the script was written by the actor himself.

In social networks, Stallone spoke frankly about the film “Drago”, the script for which was written by Robert Lawton. The blockbuster star did not name a single name, but spoke about the pathetic 94-year-old producer and his selfish children, who greedily collect what is left of a wonderful character.

Apparently, writes HollywoodReporter, Stallone aimed at 91-year-old Irvin Winkler, who became the producer of three films in the Rocky franchise.

It is noteworthy that the actor Dolph Lundgren, who previously played Drago, hinted at the appearance of a spin-off with his character in November 2021.

Stallone has never missed an opportunity to walk around Winkler and his son. He demanded to give him at least something of what was left of his copyright.

Despite the fact that it was he who came up with Rocky Balboa in 1976, Stallone’s contract stipulates that he will play the main role. The actor received nothing for creating the original character.

Winkler confirmed that he had a limited obligation to Stallone.

“We convinced United Artists to give us the money to make the film. They gave us a limited amount and said that we had to give our houses as collateral. We really laid ourselves down, ”the producer emphasized.
