The candidate of PAN, PRI and PRD to head of government, Santiago Taboada accused alleged threats from the capital government against his campaign coordinator, Federico Döring after the precautionary measures that the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) imposed against the head of government Marti Batres.

Questioned about the IECM precautionary measures challenged by Martí Batres, Santiago Taboada accused that the CDMX legal advisor threatened to denounce his campaign coordinator.

“The only thing they show is that they are desperate and now simply by telling them that they are breaking the law, the legal advisor wants to initiate criminal proceedings against my campaign coordinator, Federico Döring,” he mentioned.

In a statement to the media after accompanying Luis Gerardo Quijano, candidate for Magdalena Contreras, at a rally, Santiago Taboada warned that his team will continue to point out any fault in the electoral process.

“The only thing they show is that they are desperate, that they want to get into the lesson. We are not surprised, people do not change, but we are not going to stop denouncing it, pointing it out,” he said.
