Kabul:The Taliban have dumped 3,000 liters of alcohol in a canal in Afghanistan. The liquor was seized by Afghan intelligence agencies and dumped in a canal. Video of alcohol spilling into a canal has been released by the Directorate General of Intelligence. The raid was carried out in Kabul.
“Muslims should refrain from making or selling alcohol,” an intelligence official said in the video. But it is not clear when the raid took place or the alcohol was destroyed. The Taliban also arrested three dealers in connection with the seizure of alcohol. Alcohol was banned in Afghanistan during the previous government.
Drug raids in Afghanistan have increased since the Taliban seized power. In recent days, the Taliban government has issued a number of guidelines restricting women’s rights in order to maintain morals.
