by time news

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Congress president K.S. said that the administrators are asking me whether only the DMK should contest in Chennai. Alagiri said.

He spoke to reporters in Chennai:
AIADMK’s departure from the BJP alliance is welcome. But the AIADMK has not yet informed the people of the reason for withdrawing from the alliance with the BJP. Therefore, the AIADMK is not trustworthy. BJP is a religious party. Congress is a secular party.

Also, many executives are asking me that should only DMK contest in Chennai? I said I’m asking for you. This is usually discussed in alliances.

If the same party continuously contests in a constituency, there is no chance for another party. Is it our job to keep working for those party workers then? They will ask. This applies to all parties in Tamil Nadu. They will ask the same in the Congress party. Our constitution says that there is nothing wrong with the change of power.

Power should not be constant. Rule by one person becomes a dictatorship. So there is a need for regime change in the country. Congress never worried about not being in power.

Also, the leader of the Shanta Party should condemn Minister Rajakannappan for criticizing the Congress.

KS said that new faces will be given a chance in the Congress party in the coming Lok Sabha elections. Alagiri said.
