Minister Thangam Tennarasu Clarifies Delay in Group 2 Exam Results

The eagerly awaited Group 2 and 2A Primary Examination which was held on 21st May 2022 to fill 5,446 vacancies in the government has created quite a buzz on social media. With more than 11 lakh candidates applying for the exam and around 9 lakh candidates appearing for it, the stakes are high. However, the candidates are getting anxious due to the delay in the release of the exam results.

The results of the primary examination, which were expected to be released in June 2022, were finally released in November last year after a long wait. Following this, 57,641 candidates passed the primary examination and 55,071 of them applied for the main examination, which was held on February 25. The delay in the release of the exam results has caused frustration among the candidates.

The candidates are expressing their grief over the constant delay in the release of the exam results. They are questioning the fairness of the process, especially considering that the main exam results are expected to be released after 1.6 years in December 2023. With the entire examination process, including interviews and certificate verification, likely to take over 2 years, the candidates are understandably frustrated.

In response to the concerns, Human Resource Management Minister Thangam Thennarasu has assured that the evaluation of the Group 2 primary examination is progressing quickly. He stated, “More than 80 percent of the work has been completed. The remaining work will be completed in the first week of December and appointment orders will be issued to about 6000 people by the Chief Minister.”

However, as the first week of December has ended, the exam results have not been released yet, prompting candidates to trend on social media and question the delay. Minister Thangam Tennarasu has addressed the concerns, stating, “I expect the correction of the answer sheet to be completed within a week. The results will be published as soon as possible.”

While the candidates eagerly await the release of the exam results, the government has promised to expedite the process and provide clarity on the timeline for the announcement. The candidates hope that their concerns will be addressed and that the exam results will be available without further delay.
