Tamil News | Alliance with Seeman: Palaniswami is a new account

by time news
It has been revealed that ADMK and Naam Tamilar Party have held secret talks to form an alliance.

Naam Tamilar Party has been competing on its own since its inception. In the recent Erode East by-election, the party stood alone and secured 10,000 votes amid fierce competition.

The party, which suffered a series of defeats in the 2016 assembly elections, 2019 Lok Sabha elections, and 2021 assembly elections, won in certain places in the urban and rural local body elections.

In the last assembly election, the party got a total of 30 lakh, 43 thousand 657 votes. Only Seeman, who contested in Tiruvottiyur constituency, got 48 thousand votes.

In Madhavaram, Chengalpattu, Poontamalli and Thiruvarur constituencies each, the party got an additional 25 thousand votes. In Aavadi, Cholinganallur and Tuticorin constituencies, the party’s candidates got more than 30 thousand votes.

Likewise, in 14 blocks, 20 thousand; 15 thousand in 36 blocks; 10 thousand votes in 100 constituencies. The Palaniswami party believes that these votes are what prevented the ADMK from forming the government.

In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, former Chief Minister Panneerselvam, Dhinakaran, Sasikala etc. are more likely to work together. Then, they will capture a significant share of ADMK’s vote bank.

Some ex-ministers from southern districts want Seaman to be added to compensate for that. The ADMK leadership believes that if it forms an alliance with the party, it will give a hand not only in the Lok Sabha elections but also in the 2026 assembly elections.

In this case, it has been revealed that a member of Palaniswami’s family and a state executive of Nam Tamilar Party had a secret conversation.
