Villupuram, : The Lakshadweep festival is canceled this year due to the Kumbabishek ceremony at Anjaneya temple in Villupuram.
Laksh Deepa festival is held annually in the famous Anjaneya temple in Villupuram.
On the 14th of this year, the festival of Lakshadweep, followed by daily Utsavam, is usually held at the end of Theppal Utsavam.
In this case, the restoration work for conducting Kumbabhishekam is going on in this temple. Due to this, the Lakshadweep festival has been canceled this year.
Regarding this, temple trustee Kumar said, ‘Kumbabhishekam is going on in Anjaneyar temple. Kumbabhishekam has been arranged to be held in the coming month of Vaikasi. Due to this, the Lakshadweep Festival will not take place this year’, he said.
