Thanjavur: The 19th general committee meeting of Tanjore North district branch of Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaat organization was held in Kumbakonam Shanti Nagar area yesterday (Sunday) evening under the chairmanship of district president Zafar Sadiq. In this, the treasurer of the organization Shakul, vice-president Sikandar Ali and many district administrators participated.

Also, Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaat State General Secretary Ansari participated as a special guest in this general committee meeting. Following this, General Secretary Ansari met and spoke to the media about the resolutions passed in the General Assembly meeting.

Speaking at that time, he said, “In the context of the upcoming parliamentary elections, Election Commissioner Arun Goyal’s resignation and the President’s acceptance of his resignation within a few hours has raised suspicions that it is a ploy by the BJP.

And now all over the country people have lost faith in the EVM machine and the opinion that they want a ballot system is developing strongly among the people. In this case, the BJP government, along with SBI Bank, is involved in election bond fraud worth several thousand crores. This general committee meeting has been held with the aim of creating awareness among the people.

Also, the BJP government is portraying that the movement of drugs is high only in Tamil Nadu. But, there is movement of drugs in tons in northern states. Therefore, there is a need to eliminate drug trafficking wherever it takes place.

It is necessary to take action against whoever is hoarding and selling them. We are carrying out awareness campaigns on behalf of our organization to make people aware about this. Also, the Tamil Nadu government should increase the 3.5 per cent separate reservation given to Muslims in education and employment,” he said.

The journalist raised the question of who will support their organization in the upcoming parliamentary elections. To that, he said, “Our stand is that we do not give any opinion on Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaat elections. However, the people have a clear idea about who should be in power and who should be explained from the power. We are also providing awareness for that.”
