Tata is going to introduce a new car called Blackbird SUV in the mid-size SUV segment.

Tata Motors, which dominates the Indian automobile market, sells cars with a wide range of amenities as per the needs of the customers. Apart from that, the Tata company is selling cars at a budget price, so it is getting a huge response among the customers. Apart from this, Tata is also foraying into the electric vehicle segment. Tata has decided to launch a new mid-size SUV next in order to maintain this popularity.

This is not the first time for Tata to launch a mid-size SUV. Tata is already selling the Nexon in the mid-size SUV segment. This car has received a great response among the people. Tata’s build quality is the main reason for this reception. Following this, now Blackbird will introduce a new car called SUV.

But the upcoming new Blackbird SUV will come with improved features over the Tata Nexon. The Nexon is built on the same X1 platform. However, it will be designed to be longer and bigger than the Tata Nexon. Apart from that, the exterior is designed to be coupe-like.

In terms of exterior appearance, it has LED headlight, sleek front side grill area, tall bonnet and rugged look. Apart from this, it seems that the ground clearance has been increased in this car. In addition, the interior is equipped with a lot of technical facilities. A larger infotainment system may be offered.

Standard features include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, digital instrument console, front side ventilated seats, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, automatic wipers, rear defogger, push button start, and auto-dimming IRVM. Also, the Tata Blackbird SUV will be available with two options, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. These engines are mated to manual and automatic gearboxes.

As far as the price is concerned, it is expected to go on sale at an initial price of Rs.10-12 lakhs. The upcoming Blackbird SUV is expected to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kushak, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the recently launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider.
