I spent the beginning of the week to be reviewed in Bayreuth at the Festival. You’re mentally isolated from the news there, it’s all about art. Something about a new infection protection law, with vaccinations every three months, so that you could continue without a mask or even inside restaurants or anywhere at all. Oh, didn’t you understand that too? Understand. And you haven’t even been to Bayreuth yet.
Speaking of not being in Bayreuth. The “Ring” production by Valentin Schwarz was received with mixed feelings. That’s just how it is when something new is dared and not uncommon on the Green Hill. But some saw in Schwarzen’s work the (next) downfall of the West (serial number 3478). In the specialist magazine for loud panting, the website “Axis of the Good”, Georg Etscheit gets particularly angry: “Disaster”, “Total damage”, “Confusion”, conclusion: “End of the myth”. But my favorite sentence in this farewell to the festival itself is: “Fortunately, the author of these lines was not a direct witness to this catastrophe on the stage.”

Well, one of them wasn’t there, another one stays: Gerhard Schröder in the EsPeDe. The “Arbitration Commission of the SPD sub-district of the Hanover region”, responsible for the “local association Oststadt-Zoo”, where the former chancellor, who is loyal to Putin, pays his party fees, threw off an exclusion procedure. The “SPD local association Essen Frohnhausen/Altenberg” now wants to take a closer look at the reasoning in order to possibly continue to hurl Schröder’s seat.
Thilo Sarrazin (remember? “Germany is getting rid of itself”?, “Jewish gene”?) soon reported from “Berlin Charlottenburg”, who was kicked out of the traditional working-class association because of his “book critical of Islam” (Thilo about Sarrazin). was and described the SPD as “completely free of morals” I have agreed with Sarrazin more often than one might think (especially during his time as a Berlin senator) – I have to agree here too.
Another thing that caught up with me in my Bayreuth escape from reality was the great fire in Berlin’s Grunewald. It’s only three kilometers from our house (separated by a lake, thank God) and my wife woke me up at three thirty in the morning because she thought the Russians were coming. When military ammunition explodes, it sounds a lot different than fireworks on a warm summer evening.

The fire brigade is still fighting the forest fire in Grunewald. In focus: the explosive site of the Berlin police. 30 tons of old grenades, ammunition and confiscated fireworks are stored here. New recordings now give a first impression of the destruction.
The children in particular were afraid, the cloud of smoke was frighteningly close. Now you might be wondering why ammunition depots and detonation sites are not set up in the vastness of Brandenburg, but in the middle of a big city? Answer: Berlin. You would have figured it out on your own, right? Berlinscham (consecutive number here: 4389).
Attention, highly flammable!
The traffic light coalition is also easily ignited, as has now been seen again when Christian Lindner decided to ignite against the ideological line of his forced political comradeship (“It would be better to finally govern at all” or something). After the red and green Hartz IV had been converted into an unconditional basic income disguised as “citizen’s allowance”, with which one can decide for oneself whether one would like to work or not, and their beneficial auxiliary bazooka against inflation and energy prices, above all to defend the leg area of society, Lindner now wants to think of others.
The cold progression, through which many responsible persons pay more taxes after a earned wage increase, i.e. earn less than before, is to be abolished. The Greens in particular find this socially unbalanced (because “top earners” also benefit from it). However, the criticism did not come from the current audience favorites, the Habenden Robert and the Baerbockenden Annalena, but from Katharina Beck. Maybe because the top duo is so well received by the nasty high earners?
I don’t know if… stop…! Stop! I must withdraw my invitation from the beginning of this text. Just found out that my employer would not pay for food, beverages and laundry service for the guinea pig christening at my private residence. I can probably forget about converting my office (fun fact: I don’t even have one) for 1.4 million euros. And the nice massage chair. But the world is unfair.
Twilight of the Gods in Brandenburg
The only one who doesn’t laugh here is the ex-director of the RBB, Patricia Schlesinger. Because, as we have known since the first research by my colleagues from “Business Insider” (disclaimer: also Axel Springer), in their eyes all these delicacies were obviously a natural part (only without guinea pigs) of the employer (just a quick reminder: that’s the end of it we, the fee payers) for Schlesinger’s participation in the most unsuccessful public broadcaster.
Its critics see Schlesinger’s cause as the beginning of a – greetings to Franconia – Götterdämmerung on ARD. And then the “Axis” colleague Etscheit from above should say again that modern staging of the story about self-proclaimed gods with a penchant for opulent new buildings and questionable scope with the finances does not work.
