Authorities arrested the cabby who charged One thousand dollars a canadian tourist in Cancun, just to take it from one airport terminal to another.
After the videos he took went viral on social networks Xavier Cormier -Canadian tourist- in which a taxi driver tried to scam him out of a thousand dollars at the Cancun airport, they arrested him.
The foreigner stated that he asked the taxi driver to take him from the Terminal 3 to the 4from the airport, and that for that trip alone the man charged him a thousand dollars, which he described as a scam.

The capture of the service provider – identified as Cristian José “N”alias “Pollo”- It was carried out by elements of the National Guard (GN).
At the time of the arrest of the 30-year-old man, he was still operating at the Cancun International Airport, so when he was identified by the security forces GN, They took him away for overcharging.
In addition, the uniformed officers of said corporation requested a tow truck to secure a car –Kia Rio White color, economic number 220 and that belongs to the company “Airport”- as part of the investigations into the incident.

For its part, Cristina Torres -holder of the Secretary of Government of Quintana Roo– indicated that the security agents returned the amount charged to Xavier Cormier, that is, the thousand dollars (approximately 17 thousand Mexican pesos).

“I understand that at the moment the tourist makes the complaint to the person who transported him to the site, support arrives from the National Guard, the Secretary of Citizen Security and they get the charge returned to the user,” said Torres.
He added that federal and state authorities are carrying out an investigation to prevent this type of incident, since the Cancun International Airport is located in a federal zone.
