Techtonic announced that it will build a new server farm (data center) that will be built in the Cypress industrial area in Beit Shemesh with an investment of hundreds of millions of shekels. Tectonic is in the advanced statutory stages of obtaining permits and according to estimates, construction will be completed in the second quarter of 2025.

The new server farm, which will include two power lines (main line and backup line) with the highest power of 16 megawatts, will be an underground farm expected to spread over an area of 15,000 square meters, which will make it one of the largest server farms in Israel. Upon completion, the new facility will receive Tier IV construction standard certification as defined by the Uptime Institute, which provides certification for the construction and operation of server farms around the world.

The configuration of the systems in the facility is twofold, and guarantees the ability to maintain and operate continuously even after an event resulting from a malfunction or a war event. At the same time, the server farm will be a protected site against military threats such as a direct hit by missiles, including long-range missiles – an event that, even if it occurs, will not be able to disable the facility. The facility’s uniqueness stems from the combination of a certified Tier IV leveler and the physical shielding – a combination that does not exist in any private facility in Israel.

Tectonic was founded by Gad Bennett, a software engineer and high-tech entrepreneur with a rich past as a technology and business manager who worked for about 15 years in a number of high-tech companies in the US and Europe. In recent years, Gad Bennett has led the Paulina Ben-Ami office – one of the most respected offices in Israel for drafting patents in the field of technology. His partners in establishing the company are Dan Shleider, who has 25 years of experience in managing and supervising real estate projects, Adam Bennett, who is responsible for marketing, and Eliel Shleider, who is responsible for procurement and licensing.

Gad Bennett, founder and CEO of Tektonic: “The accelerated transition to the cloud has created a huge demand for server farms. However, many organizations are still hesitant when it comes to security, especially when it comes to exposed ground server farms. To answer this, Tektonic’s server farm will be an underground hosting site protected from the most advanced in the State of Israel.”

Bennett added: “We have brought together the best entities under one roof to make a leap in server farms in Israel to the strictest global standard – Tier IV and advanced protection, which will suit entities that require these characteristics and the needs of large companies.”

Eliel Shleider, who is responsible for procurement and licensing at Tectonic, said: “Despite the tough competition for the allocation of electricity, our advanced planning situation allowed us to receive approval for the electricity connection of two lines with a capacity of 16 megawatts, which paves the way for swift progress to establish the server farm. It is a great pride to play a key role in establishing the most protected and safest private server farm in Israel, and to set a new standard of security and quality.”
