After two days of preferential sale for the patrons and members of El Club de La Ciutat Invisible anda first general day of intensive salesuntil this Thursday at 5 pm the contest had sold 21,759 tickets, a figure that represents 35.5% of the 60,637 seats which he has put on sale for this year’s edition. Last year, the box office initially opened with 42,450 tickets available and 14,414 seats were sold at the start of the sale, around a third of the total, so the ratio is similar.
A Temporada Alta that looks outward more than ever
The usual queues in the early hours in front of the Municipal Theater to get a good location for the most coveted shows, one of the unequivocal signs for years that autumn is just around the corner, they have been moving to the network with the changing habits of the public. Unlike last year, however, this year there have been no notable incidents and the sale, both in person and online, has been smooth at all times.
Of the total tickets sold until this afternoon, 17,876 were purchased through the website, 81% of the total. The other 3,883 tickets were sold through the box office, both by phone on the days of the preferential sale and in person on the day of the intensive, as two points of sale were opened this morning at the Municipal Theater and the Salt Theater .
New functions
To absorb the high demand for tickets, the festival has opened two new functions. One for Euphoria and disappointmentthe collaboration of the Catalan company El Eje and the Argentinian Sergio Boris (October 20, 8 p.m.) and the other for Casares – Camus: a love story, directed by Mario Gas with Jordi Boixaderas and Rosa Renom as protagonists (December 3, 6 p.m.).
With these new sessions, which go on sale tomorrow at 10am, tickets will be available for the entire Temporada Alta programme.
