Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson reports that the leaked specifications are accurate, and the PS5 Pro console will now be released in the 2024 holiday period.
A report says the PS5 Pro is capable of producing a 45 percent increase in rendering performance compared to the regular PS5.
The current PS5 is a 10.28 teraflop console, so tripling that would be a significant performance boost on the GPU side alone.
According to Henderson, the PS5 Pro can also offer up to three times better ray tracing (a method for making images more realistic) performance, even four times in some cases.
The documents, uploaded to Sony’s own developer portal, also mention PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).
