This week aims to promote Chinese cinema in Burkina Faso. It opened its doors on Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Ouagadougou and concomitantly in Bobo-Dioulasso and Ziniaré.

For the opening ceremony, the film Kung-Fu Yoga kept moviegoers in suspense. One hour and 7 minutes long, this film alone combines comedy, knowledge of the world and art. Released in January 2017, this film saw the participation of major world cinematic figures, notably the famous actor Jackie Chan.
In addition to this film, other Chinese films will also be broadcast during this week of Chinese cinema, which is being held in Ouagadougou, Bobo-Dioulasso and Ziniaré from November 2 to 5, 2023. This first edition is being held under the theme “Burkina Faso and the Republic Popular of China: The challenges of cinematographic and audiovisual cooperation”.
