In the day they participated 28 students from the schools Female Holy Spirit, Father Carlos Mantilla and 24 de Mayo, from Guayaquil; as well as the Technical Fiscal College June 1, of the Tenguel parish.
Daniela Landeta, student of the Computing career at Espol, highlighted the importance of promoting this type of activities from the academy, to close gaps. “When I was at school I didn’t know what to choose and a similar situation happened to many of my friends. Already at Espol we realized the diversity of areas that are related to data science. We want to be a support by creating these spaces,” she stated.
22 disused containers, which were to be scrapped, were converted by Espol into 20 rooms that, since April 28, house 44 students who do not live in the city, and who do not have the resources to cover their housing expenses.
