Neighbors hadn’t seen him for a few days and were worried, so one of them called the police who, upon arriving at actor Morgan Stevens’ home, found him dead in his kitchen. As reported by the TMZ website, the 70-year-old star of “They Will Be Famous” (played the role of teacher David Reardon for two seasons) and “Melrose Place” (he was Nick Diamond) would have died of natural causes, even if only the autopsy will be able to confirm this with absolute certainty.
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1951, Stevens has amassed a never-ending streak in some of the hugely successful TV series of the 1980s and 1990s, including “The Lady in Yellow,” “Day by Day” and “Walker. Texas Ranger ». The latter show was also his last screen appearance in 1991.
Also in the 90s, after an arrest for driving under the influence, the actor claimed to have been the victim of alleged police brutality: according to him, the officers had kept him an hour and a half in the cell and when he had refused to return a T-shirt they had given him, two of them had beaten and kicked him to death, resulting in a fractured nose, dislocated jaw and severe nerve damage. Stevens later sued those responsible and eventually an out-of-court settlement was found.
