Another road is blocked in Armenia. Citizens of the country blocked the Yerevan-Gyumri highway as a sign of support for the protests in Tavush, Day.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.
The footage shows how drivers placed their cars on the roadway in such a way that they blocked traffic on the highway. This is how they try to support those who do not agree with the inevitable process of delimiting the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Considering the number of roads being closed, we can say that the Armenians are driving themselves into a senseless blockade and self-isolation.
Let us recall that on April 19, 2024, on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, the eighth meeting of the State Commission for the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission for the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan took place.
At the initial stage of the delimitation process, the Parties preliminary agreed on the passage of individual sections of the border line directly between the settlements of Baganis (RA) – Baganys Airym (AR), Voskepar (RA) – Ashagi Askipara (AR), Kirants (RA) – Kheyrymly (AR) and Berkaber (RA) – Gyzylgadjils (AR) with the aim of bringing them into line with the legally valid inter-republican border that existed within the Soviet Union at the time of its collapse.
