The Minister of Youth and Sports confirmed that the success of the Asian Archery Championship demonstrated Iraq’s ability to embrace and organize various international sports tournaments and forums.
Ahmed Al-Mubarqa said in a statement received by the (INA): “The Asian Bow and Arrow Championship contributed to sending many messages that Baghdad, the civilization, science, culture and sanctities, which is hosting this tournament for the first time in its history, is capable and ready to embrace and organize various tournaments.” .
Al-Mubarqa added, “The tournament received great praise from the participating countries as well as the International and Asian Federations of the game, which praised the good organization and Baghdad’s ability to host regional and international sporting events, which was translated through the Asian Bow and Arrow Championship, stressing that all sports receive attention.” It is sponsored by the Ministry, and it stands at the same distance from all games, and there is no bias towards any sport over another.”
