For his part, the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, has highlighted “the importance of the automotive sector in our country, which makes an annual investment of more than 3,000 million euros.

The sector is 100% committed to change and we appreciate the efforts of PERTE VEC. But we need to accelerate. Portugal sells a 28% share of electrified vehicles while we do not reach 11%. We need a market of over a million units per year. An aid plan that works is necessary, it is not a budget problem but rather that citizens and companies perceive that the aid is agile. Furthermore, we need to see the electric car as a real opportunity to bring investments to Spain that give us greater strategic autonomy. With attractive taxation for R&D. Therefore, teamwork between administrations and all the agents involved in the new mobility is essential.

The president of FACONAUTO, Marta Blázquez, stated that “the Impulso Awards have once again demonstrated in this edition that the automotive industry is always a supporter of democratic progress, social advancement and freedom. The automobile must continue to be a reference for all these values and continue generating employment, training talented men and women; being, in short, a pillar of the Spanish economy. For this, a solid and dynamic market is totally crucial, which is also the guarantee to accelerate our path towards decarbonized mobility.

Francisco J. Riberas, president of SERNAUTO, has indicated that «thanks to the strong commitment to innovation we are achieving the great challenge pursued by all: sustainable mobility. Manufacturing and putting on the market vehicles with more and better features, lighter, safer and more efficient. A magnificent ecosystem that we must preserve responsibly by attracting new productive investments for the country, as well as assigning new platforms and models for the factories located here and for the important supplier park. We must join forces between the sector, the institutions and with the entire society, to lead the transformation towards sustainable mobility at the European level that generates great opportunities. Because we live and work in a highly globalized, hyper-competitive environment, and we cannot afford to be left behind.

For his part, the president of Ibercaja FoundationAmado Franco, has confirmed the importance of this event, highlighting that «Mobility City is the great house of mobility in Spain. From here we want to make citizens aware of the change, making them aware of the new vehicles, the new regulations or the applications they will have… More than 150,000 people have passed through our wonderful bridge. We are proud because thanks to the work of all the actors involved, our country aspires to become a power in mobility. “The pride that a good part of the world travels with vehicles made here, in infrastructure managed by national companies or with solutions designed by our entrepreneurs.”
