During the second competitive day of the 29th Azerbaijan Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, which takes place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, the Azerbaijani team presented a demonstration performance with five hoops in group exercises, Day.Az reported on Friday with reference to Trend.
After the performance, the team, which includes Gyullu Agalarzade, Lyaman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Zeinab Gummetova, Elizaveta Luzan and Daria Sorokina, told the media about how preparations for the upcoming competitions are going, as well as their mood for the current season.
“We have added complexity to our program with five hoops, now we are working on stability. This exercise is very gentle, we perform it to a beautiful musical composition. We want the program to touch the hearts of all spectators. The second exercise, with three ribbons and two balls, is set to a cheerful , modern music.
Next week we will have our first international start – the Thieu tournament (France), then the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will be held in Baku, followed by the European Cup. After these competitions, the European Championships will take place in Budapest,” the gymnasts noted.
According to team members in group exercises, the mood for the current season is combative.
