In Kuzbass, at the Listvyazhnaya mine, rescuers raised three more bodies from the ground. Two of them are identified by the numbers of the headlights, Governor Sergei Tsivilev said. The third – without identification marks. Mine rescuers retrieved two dead miners this afternoon. In total, 16 bodies of miners and rescuers have been raised to the surface since the accident, which, as previously established, was due to an explosion of a methane-air mixture.

At the beginning of the week, the commander of the Kemerovo paramilitary mine rescue detachment (VGSO), Yuri She, at a meeting with the relatives of the dead miners, said that the whereabouts of 20 bodies had been established.

Today, after a two-day break, VGNG resumed mine rescue work. They were previously suspended due to the high concentration of methane and combustion sources.

The accident at Listvyazhnaya took place on 25 November. 51 people died – 46 miners and five rescuers. Another 35 dead remain underground.

Details about the tragedy – in the material “Kommersant” “Methane brakes rescuers.”
