The “Boys of the III C” is back, 35 years after their launch, here’s what happened to the protagonists

by time news

On January 13, 1987, the first episode of “I Ragazzi della III C” was broadcast on Italia 1, a show set in the imaginary Leopardi High School in Rome which features a group of classmates. The series, conceived by the brothers Enrico and Carlo Vanzina and shot by Claudio Risi, met with an incredible and unexpected success. Although the actors appear a bit older to play high schoolers (the youngest is 20) and the series has a relatively short life compared to today’s canons (only lasting three seasons, for a total of 33 episodes), the The show soon became a cult and over the last three decades it has been reprogrammed by Mediaset several times. The light-hearted atmosphere experienced at school (the children of the III C seem light years away from the politically committed students of the late 70s), the catchphrases and the jokes repeated by the characters mark the collective memory of a generation so much that there are risky to define “The boys of III C” the Italian version of “Happy Days”. Anyone wishing to recover all the episodes today can do so on Mediaset Infinity. In the meantime, here’s what happened to all the protagonists.
