US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller does not rule out that the Armenian-Azerbaijani issues will also be discussed at the Pashinyan-Blinken-Von der Leyen meeting to be held in Brussels on April 5, however, according to the US official, this issue is not on the main agenda of the meeting. This is reported by azatutyun.am.

“The Brussels meeting should focus on Armenia’s economic resilience,” Miller said, stressing that as it works to diversify trade ties and address humanitarian needs.

The Prime Minister of Armenia, the Secretary of State of the United States and the President of the European Commission will meet in Brussels on April 5. Armen Grigoryan, secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, gave general information about the agenda of the meeting earlier, noting that it is planned to discuss ways of trilateral cooperation, the meeting is also aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resistance.

Baku described that meeting as “biased, based on double standards”. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan noted that “instead of pushing the Armenian side to peaceful negotiations, it is creating new dividing lines in the region”, noting that “against the background of revanchist sentiments in Yerevan, the openly pro-Armenian attitude of Washington and Brussels can create a dangerous illusion in Armenia that the EU and The USA will support Armenia in the matter of possible provocations against Azerbaijan.” Baku stated that the EU and the US in this case “share responsibility for any destabilizing actions of Armenia”.

The Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, responding to the statement from Baku yesterday, did not rule out that Azerbaijan is preparing the ground for a possible provocation.
