Press reports confirmed that Chelsea defender Thiago Silva is currently in contact with the management of his former club about returning to him.

Silva’s (39-year-old) contract with the Blues expires next summer, and according to reports from his native Brazil, a return to his old club Fluminense is possible.
Fred, Fluminense’s sporting director, confirmed in an interview with ESPN that Silva is in contact with the club on a weekly basis.
He added: “Thiago has a contract in England, and we encourage him. I am personally a friend of his, and I admire his personality. He knows that the doors here are wide open for him to return.”
Silva played for Fluminense in two periods, the first on loan from January to June 2006 from Dynamo Moscow, and the second between 2007 and 2009, before moving to Milan.
