He also noted irregularities in the services of mobile phone companies here in Faso. « The LCB welcomes this progress, but regrets that the efforts made fall short of consumer expectations. Worse, consumers will still be subject to the old regulations for 90 days,” declared the President of the LCB in this regard.
Speaking of the increase in the cost of pharmaceutical products, the monitoring structure deplores the “wickedness” of the actors in the chain. ” In Burkina Faso there are 4 operators in charge of importing pharmaceutical products and redistributing them. But we have found that at all levels, whether internationally at the wholesaler, at the level of taxes, there has been no increase.
It was the pharmacists’ union that unilaterally decided to raise prices. It’s a scam, plain and simple. There are, however, pharmacists who patriotically refused to raise product prices and they are to be commended. In the days to come if nothing is done, the list of these pharmacies will be publicized”said Da Hien Daniel, first vice president of the LCB.
