The act of a couple who hid their dead child in a container for 3 years has caused a stir in South Korea.
A couple in South Korea’s Gyeonggi province hid the body of their dead child in a plastic container.
The shocking incident came to light during a basic study of South Korea’s general screening of newborns and school admissions.
It was only then that a complaint was lodged with the police on October 27, after which the police interrogated the couple.
Initially, the child’s mother reported that the child was lost. Later, when the police intensified the investigation, they confessed to the crime of hiding the child’s body.
The couple admitted to hiding their dead child’s body in a container measuring 35cm long, 24cm wide and 17cm high. The child’s body has now been sent for post-mortem. It is said that the full details will be known only after the results are published.
