In Moscow, charges have been officially brought against four citizens of Tajikistan, who are blamed for the shooting in the concert hall Crocus City Hall and in its ignition. As a security measure, the court in Moscow ordered them to be arrested for two months, the BBC reports. The responsibility for Friday’s terrorist attack has been claimed by the Islamic State in Khorasan, which is Islamic State Branch of Afghanistan region. At least 137 people lost their lives and at least 182 were injured in the terrorist attack.
This does not prevent Kremlin propagandists from still linking the incident with Ukraine, claiming that the suspects tried to flee to Ukraine after the terrorist attack, which, as Vladimir Putin claimed in his speech on Saturday, had prepared a border crossing for the fugitives. Ukrainian officials categorically deny any connection with the terrorist attack in Russia.
Meanwhile, there are reports of targeting immigrants from Tajikistan and other Central Asian countries in Russia.
Confessions of the tortured
On Sunday evening, four detainees – Dalerjon Mirzoyev, Saidakram Rachabalizoda, Muhammadsobir Faizov and Shamsidin Faridumi – were brought one by one to the courtroom of Moscow’s Basmannia district, one of them in a wheelchair.
