For twenty years Georgie e Emmanuel Lo they are a permanent couple. The singer and the dancer have spent half their lives at each other’s side, but there have also been moments of great crisis in their relationship. Who is Emanuel Lo, Giorgia’s husband
While Giorgia is preparing to take the stage of the Ariston theater as co-host of the Sanremo festival, Emanuel Lo Iacono, 45 years old from Rome, is one of the teachers of Amici by Maria De Filippi. The man was a guest of Silvia Toffanin and retraced the stages of his career as a dancer and choreographer, but also spoke of the love that has linked him to the singer for twenty years now. It was 2004, in fact, when Giorgia and Emanuel met and from that moment their life took the path towards the formation of a family. “He supports me and puts up with me”, said the dancer, describing when their relationship changed: “At a certain point I felt the need to become a father and I wanted to become one with Giorgia”.
The son and the love for Giorgia
Emanuel Lo talked about how difficult it was for Giorgia to get pregnant and how the birth of theirs son has changed their life prospects. “We tried so hard but it wasn’t coming. When Samuel was born it was a liberation. When a child arrives, everything happens to you, the beautiful part and the tiring part, there is no manual for being a parent and not even a couple’s manual”. Speaking about Giorgia and the years spent together, she explained it: “Half my life has been dedicated to her. Summing up today, I have to say that the road has been long and it’s been nice and it’s nice to be in the couple phase tiringthe one in which you have to put yourself on the line and understand that you are making a mistake, both in good things, when things are happy, you smile and move on“.
The crisis before the child
Before their son Samuel arrived, however, the couple went through a very difficult period of separations and resumptions: “We broke up several times, one of these times it lasted almost a year, but when we met again in 2007 it was nice to recognize each other”. In the studio of very true the dancer remembered that moment as one of the most beautiful for the couple, who managed to overcome the crisis: “We fell in love again or perhaps we always have been. We had other problems that went beyond love. Today we are fine, Giorgia and I are quite in our differences. Let’s say that we have found our balance“.
