“There is no prop pistol”: with this caption accompanying a black and white photo taken in Venice in October 1992, Eliza Hutton wanted to remember her boyfriend Brandon Lee, torn from life at just 28 years old by a tragic accident on the set of «Il corvo» (a film that Sky Cinema Action will re-broadcast on Friday 5th November at 1.25pm). Like the two protagonists of the film directed by Alex Proyas, Eric Draven and Shelly Webster, Brandon and Eliza were supposed to get married soon (after finishing the film, on April 17, 1993 in Mexico), but fate would have it otherwise. The untimely death of Lee has returned to talk in recent weeks following the death of Halyna Hutchins, director of photography of the western “Rust”, hit by a bullet contained in the weapon handled during filming by actor Alec Baldwin (who did not knew it was loaded). A script that dramatically recalls the one staged on that cursed March 31, 1993.
