Virologist, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Petr Chumakov said that vaccination against COVID-19 should be mandatory.
“This is very unpopular, of course,” the scientist said on Radio Russia. “But I believe that there should be compulsory vaccination.”
He expressed the opinion that compulsory vaccination should be “in the name of these people who are now resisting,” because “later they will be grateful if they are forced.”
Chumakov called the arguments of anti-vaccinators absurd, and also said that the pandemic is a global problem that cannot be defeated in a single country.
