On November 27, the visit of the joint delegation of the European External Action Service and the European Commission‘s Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Migration and Internal Affairs, Research and Innovation, and International Partnership General Directorates to Armenia started.
During the first day of the visit, the members of the delegation were received by Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on a wide range of issues of the RA-EU partnership agenda, including the implementation of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement, prospects for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, and opportunities for realizing the existing potential.
Paruyr Hovhannisyan thoroughly presented to the interlocutors the security situation created around Armenia, the steps taken towards the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the unblocking of regional communication channels, as well as the importance of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia.
