In the next parliamentary term, the European Commission will focus on implementing as quickly as possible the EU migration package decided before the European elections in June. There is also a separate proposal for a directive which aims at more efficient and precisely coordinated repatriation of people who have no right of residence in the EU area, for example if an asylum application has been rejected.
