In the last few hours, images from the building’s security camera were released that show how Ronald Ojedageneral (r) of Venezuela, was kidnapped during the early hours of this Wednesday from his apartmentlocated in the commune of Independencia.
The video, which was published exclusively by Meganoticias, shows the former uniformed man being taken away by the four unknown people who posed as officials of the Investigative Police (PDI), who are armed and with their faces covered.
Ojeda appears only in underwear and tied walking through the hallways of the building where he lived, and then entering an elevator. Then they are all seen getting into a car, the same one in which they arrived at the scene.
The measures taken by the Government after the kidnapping
Hours after hearing the news, the Government confirmed that Ronald Ojeda was kidnappedso he took several measures, one of them to prevent him from leaving the country.
“The Government has asked the police to strengthen border controls“both to the Carabineros, which is in charge of the borders, and to the Investigative Police, which is in charge of immigration control,” explained Undersecretary Manuel Monsalve at a press point in La Moneda.
To that he added that “An alert has been requested to Interpol” and that “the Government has the obligation to consider all hypotheses, therefore, it takes measures for all possible scenarios, but I think it is completely premature to reach a conclusion.”
