At Kaplan Medical Center, the first baby at Kaplan Medical Center for the new civil year was born just 5 minutes after midnight. Rotem Wildorf, 26, from Gedera, arrived on Friday morning with her husband at the Kaplan Medical Center of the Clalit Group after she began to feel contractions.

“My husband hoped the child would be born at 1.1 for the special date,” she recounted with a smile, “and indeed the child was waiting for him – exactly five minutes after midnight and he emerged!” Rotem gave birth to a baby weighing 3,010 kg. “My midwife was amazing and kept pushing me more and more.”

“At the time of the birth, Galit Shimshon, our stunning midwife, offered me a mirror so I could see the birth, although I was a little apprehensive, but I flowed with her and that was the best thing I could ask for,” Karin said. “I encourage everyone to see this magic happen and I myself still do not believe. I thank the whole team – you do not have to. And wish us all a year of health and happiness as a sign of a new life.”

The first newborn of the year at Rambam Hospital, was born at a good time to the Alma family, to the parents Iris and Yossi, residents of Kiryat Motzkin. The baby was born at 04:29, in a spontaneous birth and weighing 3,020 kg. This is the couple’s first birth. Beside them in the delivery room were midwife Batsheva Krichli and Dr. Roy Goldfreund.

At the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, they celebrated the birth of their first baby during a particularly tumultuous birth. Elad and Rotem Tanami from Hadera, arrived at the maternity ward after Rotem experienced significant contractions.

Later, Rotem was quickly transferred to the delivery room. In connection with the monitor, the midwifery team, Tiki Chen and Asma Kabha, saw a significant slowdown in fetal heart rate. Following this, Dr. Sivan Barda and Dr. Omar Moore were immediately called to the scene, who decided to perform an immediate birth in a vacuum procedure.

Upon being rescued from the womb, those present in the delivery room were shocked to discover that there was indeed a knot in the umbilical cord, and that the rapid staff actions were the right thing to do. Rotem’s husband, Elad, thanked the team that gave birth to his son weighing 3.7 kg.

The first baby in Hadassah for the year 2022 will give birth in Hadassah Mount Scopus to her aunt, the midwife Esti Bakshi Duanias. Michaela, the daughter of Yael and Eitan Gamer from Tel Mond, was born two hours after the beginning of 2022 on the night between Friday and Saturday. Yael, the excited mother, described that: “A daughter after three sons is a festive event in itself, and when she was born on such a special date – the event only intensified.

“This is the most wonderful gift we could ask for for the new year. All our births were at Hadassah Mount Scopus and it was clear that this too would happen here after the amazing staff of the hospital accompanied us with tests and follow-up throughout the pregnancy. My sister Esti is the midwife of all my children. That is why today, when we embrace a fresh and sweet daughter, it is a significant closing of the circle in so many ways, it is a great happiness for all of us. “

Esti, Yael’s sister, was no less moved than the parents of little baby Michaela: “I gave birth to all my sisters, but this is my little sister, 10 years apart and it is impossible to describe the special feeling in the delivery room, when I got to be her midwife with the amazing staff of room The birth at Hadassah Mount Scopus. “

Esti added: “At a certain point, the prolonged birth even got into trouble due to the location of the umbilical cord, and we went through a difficult upheaval – including preparation for emergency surgery, But the professional Dr. Lorin Levitt saved the situation with a lot of resourcefulness and responsibility and we returned to the delivery room for a normal and really fast continuation of the birth. “My little sister gave birth today to a real and special princess and we all in the family are moved to tears.”

Yael and Eitan would like to thank the Hadassah Mount Scopus team, who accompanied them throughout the months of pregnancy and childbirth: The happy one added: “The most special thanks is to my sister Esti who was there for me with such intensity. I was right that I did not give up on her, as always.”
