by time news

The requirement to wear masks in public from January 3 will apply in France to children from six to ten years old. This is reported in the decree posted in the official bulletin of the country’s legislation.

Until now, French people over 11 years old had to wear masks in public places, including in transport. Now this will affect those who are younger, but in those cases when they are not in class – creative or sports.

Recall that experts call the epidemic situation in France critical. The number of infections has exceeded 200 thousand per day, and the President of this country, Emmanuel Macron, warned citizens in a New Year’s address that the coming weeks will be very difficult.

Earlier, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced that from 3 to 23 January it will be banned from eating and drinking in cinemas, theaters, as well as on public transport and stadiums. In addition, remote work will be introduced “where possible” for at least three days a week.
