The father of the writer Sasha Filipenko was arrested for 13 days. He wrote about this on his Facebook page. According to him, his father was convicted for reposting from the Mirror (Article 19.11 of the Administrative Code).
Yesterday, the writer’s home was searched, and his father was detained.
Sasha Filipenko told Belsat that he had been waiting for a visit from the security forces and pressure through his parents for a long time:
“They called my dad before and told him that I should shut up, etc., so it was clear for a long time that something like this would happen. My dad and I discussed the need to leave, but he said that he was not to blame for anything and should not leave. In the end, they decided to keep me quiet in this way.”
Yesterday, according to the writer, after the search they simply took away all the equipment and told the mother: “Tell my thanks to my son.”
“Mom will now look for a lawyer if they are still in Belarus. With such actions, the security forces will not be able to achieve their goal and will not shut my mouth,” the writer said yesterday. “It’s strange to remain silent when your father is taken hostage.”
