Video messages instead of classic voice messages, sharing the screen in video calls – WhatsApp has gained a number of functions in recent weeks and new ones are constantly being developed.

Before new features are unleashed on all WhatsApp users, they are extensively tested in the so-called beta version of the app. This is where new functions appear first or are even hidden in the app’s files. By no means all of them make it into the finished WhatsApp app.
