“The future is rosy”: Arsenal’s youngsters in focus in England

by time news

When Arsenal recorded a fourth consecutive game without a win in all competitions about two weeks ago, there was a slight concern around the club, but tonight (Wednesday), after a third consecutive and overwhelming victory, the worries seem to have disappeared. The Gunners scored 0:4 against Everton this evening, with goals from Arsenal’s stars this season – Bokayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli (double) and Martin Odgor.

In England, they referred, among other things, to the “pink future” of the Gunners, as far as its players are concerned. Saka scored 10 goals and 9 assists this season, with Martinelli adding 11 goals and 3 assists himself. Fabrizio Romano referred to the game and the pair and said: “They are both 21 years old, both are the future of Arsenal. While Martinelli has already signed a new contract, Saka is on his way to do the same.”

In general, when you look at Arsenal’s squad, it has 3 of the four best scorers this season under the age of 21. Polarin Balogon (who plays for Reims, but belongs to Arsenal) scored 15 goals this season, while Martinelli and Saka as mentioned scored 11 and 10 respectively. Along with other young players, it is hard not to envy the future of the Gunners.

Journalist John Cross, a reporter for the British “Mirror”, also provided a few words about the ability of Arsenal’s stars: “He should be mentioned now in the race for the title of player of the season. Martinelli? He is unstoppable in this capacity. He and Saka made the game against Everton to look like a training game.”

Along with the players, in England they also knew how to praise the one responsible for this collection of stars – Mikel Arteta. The Daily Mail wrote: “Arteta has become a ray of hope for Arsenal’s vilified fans. When things seem unsalvageable, one should always remember the case of Arteta, who was already at the bottom about two years ago, but today is at the top. You can even say that he is one The best coaches in the world right now.”
